status on November 6, 2001 when the then Governor, Mr Donald Duke assented to the law passed by the Cross River State House of
Assembly to that effect.
As enshrined in our vision statement, this institution aspires to be an institution of excellence where highly skilled, committed and devoted healthcare practitioners will be trained for the advancement of healthcare in Cross River State and beyond. This aspiration is made manifest with the provision of state of the art facilities that are present in the different academic departments of the College.

COHTECH, Calabar Hosts SSANIP ZEC
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnic just concluded the successful hosting of the Zonal Executive Council Meeting in the Main Auditorium of the College of Health Technology, Calabar. The occasion was graced by several dignitries including the Chairman, Cross River State College of Health Technology, Rt. Hon. Fabian Okpa and high ranking zonal officials of SSANIP.
New Dean of Students Affairs Appointed
A new Dean of Students Affairs (DSA) has been appointed for the College of Health Technology, Calabar. He is Mr. Emmanuel Nchor. Mr. Nchor takes over from Mrs. Rose Ita who has already left office. The new DSA worked as the Deputy DSA under Mrs. Rose Ita but has now been appointed the substantive DSA. Mr. Nchor is a Lecturer in the General Studies Department and teaches Use of English in a number of Departments in the College. This is wishing the new DSA a successful tenure as he assumes this position of leadership.
10th Matriculation Ceremony
The Cross River State College of Health Technology, Calabar recently conducted her 10th Matriculation Ceremony in the College Compound. Highlights of the occasion included the confirmation of Dr. Mrs. Jane Adah as the substantive Provost of the College as announced by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Ivara Esu who represented His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade.
