College of Health Technology, Calabar, will be a training institution of excellence with a clear focus on producing relevant and competent graduates, capable of providing efficient modern Primary Health Care Service(s).


To produce highly committed and devoted Community/Public Health Practitioners for the Primary Care tier of the Health Services, in an environment of highest quality teaching, learning and ethos compatible with Patient-Centred Community Practice.


The College will seek to produce graduates who are scientifically, vocationally,academically and ethically committed to practice community interactive health care with a view to preventing illness as first priority and essence.

This is to inform all students of College of Health Technology Calabar, that the College will reopen for academic activities on Monday October 16th 2017. Consequently, all returning students are to:

1. Download and fill in person (by hand) an undertaking form from the College website at www.chtcalabar.edu.ng and proceed to any High Court to sign the Affidavit

2. Apply in person for a bed space to the Provost through the Dean of Student Affairs for those wishing to stay in the hostel.

New principal officers have been appointed for the College of Health Technology, Calabar. They are: Dr. Asuquo Bassey (Deputy Provost), Jane Iyaji Eneregbu (Registrar), Pastor Lawrence Elom(Bursar) and Mrs. Comfort Effiom (Librarian). The appointees have since resumed work.

The Management of the College has approved the introduction of electronic voting for SUG elections in the College. This is in line with the vision of the Provost to transform the college into fully ICT compliant institution. With the introduction e-voting, the conduct of SUG elections in CHT Calabar will become more efficient and transparent.

CHT Calabar will with effect from the 2017/2018 session deploy a new student portal called MyCHT which will be used to automate most of the processes in the College including fee payment, transcript processing, accommodation and course registration.
